YIL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria by March 3, 2026.

1. Educational Qualification

For Non-ITI Candidates:

  • The candidate must have completed Madhyamik (Class 10 or its equivalent).
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • The candidate must have achieved a minimum of 40% in mathematics and science separately.

For Ex-ITI Candidates:

  • Candidates must have completed a relevant ITI trade at an NCVT/SCVT-recognized institute.
  • The candidate must have achieved a minimum of 50% in the ITI examination.
  • Additionally, the candidate must have completed Class 10 with a minimum of 50% marks.

Candidates appearing in qualifying exams or awaiting results are not eligible.

2. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age:
    • 14 years (General trades)
    • 18 years (Hazardous trades)
  • Maximum Age: 35 years

Selection Procedure for YIL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

The selection process will be based strictly on merit.

For Non-ITI Candidates:

  • The merit list will be prepared factory-wise.

  • Trades will be allotted on a merit-cum-choice basis.

For Ex-ITI Candidates:

  • The merit list will be prepared factory-wise and trade-wise.

Tie-Breaking Rule:
