Odisha Videsh Siksha Bruti Scheme: The government of Odisha State has come up with an incredible scholarship initiative known as Odisha Videsh Siksha Bruti Scheme, in which the government aims to provide financial help as a scholarship to all the eligible meritorious students who come from scheduled castes (SC) & scheduled tribe (ST) backgrounds.
Under this, selected students will receive financial assistance of up to Rs. 25 lakh per year. This assistance will be provided to study at the world’s top 200 QS-ranked universities.

Objective of the Odisha Videsh Siksha Bruti Scheme
There are several important objectives of the Odisha Videsh Siksha Bruti Scheme –
Giving SC/ST students equal opportunities for higher education abroad. To encourage talent by removing economic barriers. Increasing state participation in research and higher education. With the help of this scheme, the students will be able to fulfil their education dreams without facing any financial constraints or troubles. If any student’s annual family income is more than Rs. 12 lakh per year, then they are not eligible to apply for a scholarship under the Odisha Videsh Siksha Bruti Scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scheme, an applicant must meet the following criteria –
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha and belong to the SC or ST category. Applicant must already have admission in a top 200 QS global ranking university for a PG or PhD course. The family income from all sources must not be more than Rs. 12 lakh per year. The student must meet all the academic and admission requirements.

Each year, a total of 50 students will be selected for these schemes’ benefits –
