Under the Plantation Incentive Scheme, farmers will be given an incentive of ₹10,000 per acre for planting timber, fruit trees, bamboo, minor forest produce, and medicinal plants in non-forested areas instead of paddy. Farmers who harvested paddy in the 2020 Kharif season will receive an incentive of ₹10,000 per acre per year for the next three years if they plant trees in their fields instead of paddy. The money provided to beneficiaries will be directly deposited into their bank accounts. Beneficiaries will avail themselves of the benefits of this scheme by registering their names.
