Labour Card Registration: The West Bengal government launched the Nirman Kormi Scheme to help the general poor daily wage workers. This scheme is known as the Labour Card.
By having this card, you will receive a one-time payment of 25 to 30 thousand INR through this scheme.
Also, if someone in your family is involved in education, then you will get government benefits starting from 5 thousand to 15 thousand rupees. Moreover, in case of any accident, the West Bengal government has announced that you will get 30 thousand rupees from the state government for treatment or surgery.

To register for a Labour Card, you need to visit the official e-District portal of your state and create a new account using your name, mobile number, and email ID.

After completing the login, select the Labour section and open the Building and Other Construction Workers Registration form. Fill in your personal details, address, work information, and bank details carefully. Then upload all the required documents, including Form 27, and apply. Once submitted, your Labour Card registration will be processed by the authorities.

1. To register for a labour card online from home, you first need to visit the e-district portal operated by the state government at https://edistrict.wb.gov.in/.
2. Then click on the New Registration option on the home page, and on the page that appears, enter your name, mobile number, and email address, and click on the NEXT option. Then complete the registration process by selecting your preferred USER NAME and PASSWORD and OTP verification. However, those who have already completed the registration process on this portal do not need to register separately.
3. Then complete the login process through username and PASSWORD. Then on the page that appears in front of you, you will see many options, from which you can select the LABOUR option and click on the BUILDING AND OTHER CONSTRUCTION WORKERS BENEFICIARY REGISTRATION PROCESS option under this option.

4. The page that will appear in front of you will have all the information required for applying for a labour card. Read all the information and click on the check box at the very bottom of the page, and click on the Apply option. Then, on the page that will appear in front of you, you will have to mention your name, whether you are BPL listed, date of birth, age, mobile number, email address, Aadhaar card number, and all the information related to your marital status correctly.
5. Then you have to mention all the information related to your current address correctly and click on the Save and Next option. After clicking on the above option, a new page will appear in front of you. At the beginning of this page, you have to mention all the information about your father/mother/guardian, or husband correctly. Then you have to mention all the information about your permanent address correctly. That is, it is necessary to mention your village, district, state, sub-district, police station, post office, and other information related to your permanent address.
6. Then you have to provide all the details of your bank account accurately, including your bank account number, bank name, bank branch name, and IFSC code.
7. Next, mention how many members of your family are dependent on you and provide all the information about the dependent members. Then enter the name, age, residential address, relationship of the nominee to you, and other necessary information correctly. Finally, you will be asked to know some more information related to your work. After filling in all this information correctly, click on the Terms and Conditions box below and click on the Save and Next option.
8. By clicking on the above option, a preview of the form will appear in front of you. If all the information is correct, click on the Attach Supporting Documents option and upload all the documents mentioned in the portal. In this case, you have to collect form number 27 mentioned in the portal and fill the form correctly manually, scan it, and upload it to the portal. The application process will be completed only after uploading all the documents correctly and clicking on the Submit option.
