IISER Kolkata Hiring 2026: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) has released a new notification for the recruitment of Project Computer Programmer (On Contract) posts.
This recruitment is for two project-based positions under important software development projects of the institute. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online before the last date.

The selected candidates will work on developing and maintaining the ERP system and the iCIF web portal of IISER Kolkata.
Project Details
- ERP System Development Project:
This project aims to improve the existing ERP system by adding important administrative modules like Finance and Accounts, purchases and Stores, Payroll, and HR. - iCIF Web Portal Project:
The selected candidate will help in developing and maintaining the web portal for the Central Instruments Facility (iCIF). The job includes creating user and admin interfaces and booking and payment systems, and integrating them with the ERP system.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a BCA, MCA, B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech, M.Tech, B.E., M.E., or an equivalent degree with a first division from a recognised university or institute.
Technical Skills
Applicants should have good knowledge of:
- Python
- Django Web Framework
- API
- JQuery
- Bootstrap
- MySQL or any other SQL database
Experience
- At least one year of experience in computer programming in a government or reputable private organization.
- Experience in ERP systems is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting will be an added advantage.
Age Limit
- Maximum age should not exceed 40 years as of the closing date of the application.
Selection Procedure
The selection will be based on screening of applications, followed by a test and/or interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called. The decision of the institute will be final. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test or interview.
