Purpose of Bihar Krishi Input Anudan Yojana
In October 2025, Bihar experienced excessive rainfall and a severe cyclone, resulting in flooding and extensive destruction of standing kharif crops in several areas.
Acknowledging the hardships faced by farmers, the Bihar government decided to launch this relief initiative to provide financial assistance for input expenses such as seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, and land rehabilitation.
Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Krishi Input Anudan Yojana
To be eligible for support under this scheme, applicant farmers must meet certain qualification requirements:
- Residency: The applicant must be a resident farmer of the affected panchayat listed in the government notification.
- Type of farmer: Both registered Raiyat and non-Raiyat are eligible.
- Crop damage condition: Farmers whose crops were damaged by more than 33% due to floods or storms in October 2025 are eligible.
- Aadhar verification: At the time of application, each applicant must provide Aadhar-based family verification.
- Definition of Family: This scheme applies to each farmer family, which includes the husband, wife, and minor children.

Documents Required for Bihar Krishi Input Anudan Yojana
Farmers must have the following documents ready:
- For Raiyat farmers: The latest or valid Land Possession Certificate (LPC) or cultivation receipt for the years 2022-23, 2023-24, or 2024-25.
- For Non-Raiyat farmers: A self-declaration certificate must be verified by the Ward Member and the Agriculture Coordinator.
